hey starstuff...
I’m passionate, devotional even, about astrological studies, and I tend to get all of my musings out on this page of ramblings that I call “Hey Starstuff.” Sometimes I focus on current transits affecting us all, and other times I go deep into collective concepts that can help you learn more as you dive into your natal chart.

hey starstuff, i’m about to receive life/give birth. and i’m so excited to see how it unfolds following his addition to our fam. it’s terrifying, of course. having another kid. it’s no small beans, being a parent. i’m shocked at how transformative an experience it has been for me. it’s easier to hear my intuition.…

astrology is a participatory and experiential craft. you've gotta feel it to believe it. there’s a quote out there attributed to the buddha that basically says, use reason, common sense, your own lived experience, and the guidance from the wise in order to discern what to believe. he was basically saying, don’t believe anything i say, just because i’ve said it. try it on for yourself and see. or, equally true, listen to your inner voice that says "don’t try," and trust that’s because you already know in your bones that it’s not for you.

(your saturn return)...would have been a period of time that began with some sort of elation, and landed you squarely in your life like a tonne of bricks. it’s like the last gasp of our free-falling 20s into reality, and it’s always accompanied by some sort of reason for frenzy. the hammer of saturn is about to hit the surface of your life, and whatever is unnecessary going forward for your soul’s growth gets shaken from your foundation. it all just falls away, often harshly, and is accompanied by some pretty tough life lessons. so while it begins with a high, the climax of your 20s ends with a thud.
